This experience made me see myself and the world from a different perspective …

I have always wanted to study abroad, it has been one of the things that I had in my mind for a very long time, so when the Erasmus opportunity came I did not hesitate to apply. This experience made me see myself and the world from a different perspective, interacting with so many cultures and people from different backgrounds, I had the chance to experience life in an unfamiliar atmosphere in which I had to learn to adapt. On the personal level, I realized how further one can push themselves beyond the limits they set and how important it is to be flexible to cope with the new environment. I noticed the singularities of the professional world in Spain from the point of view of the locals, I learnt a lot about the language and the habits of this beautiful country and the fascinating similarities it has with our own culture that I had not thought of before. I became aware of how important it is to step out of one’s comfort zone and look outside to see how the world functions beyond our own community. Overall, the Erasmus experience is an amazing opportunity in which a lot can be acquired and honestly it should not be missed.
